So while checking my email for praise team stuff, I noticed someone had asked me a question. It took so much willpower to resist looking at it, and now that I’m FINALLY done, THIS WAS THE QUESTION!??!?!??!?
Theres so much to say about this week that I can’t even write it all.
The media fast was just a true test of my character and perserverance and whether or not I valued God over my own entertainment. Christ gave up His life for me, so I can give up media for Him :).
While we were in L.A. for the 30 hour famine, seeing people with nearly nothing worshipping God and singing praise songs and giving it all to HIm, and than reflecting on myself and comparing ourselves just really humbled me, and I’m glad to say God spoke to me through a man at the homeless ministry. Earnest told me life is too short to worry about yourself or what others think of yourself. Glorify God, live life, and have fun! When your older, you’ll look back on the days when you were riduculed for being a Christian and laugh about it with your friends, and the joy that you have within yourself knowing God is proud of you will infiinitely outweigh what other nonbelievers think about you.
I can really say that knowing God is proud of you for what you did is honestly the best, number one feeling in the world.
Do we trust and believe in God to get what WE want from Him? Or do we trust and believe in God for who He is and what He’s done? Do we only come to Him to get what we want and then leave, or do we come to Him to have a relationship with Him, and to glorify Him?
